Dame Patsy Reddy's International Women's Day speech at Parliament
In her speech at the 2018 IWD breakfast at Parliament, Dame Patsy Reddy talked about a ‘gathering mood for change’ and a need to continue the momentum started by the courageous women that came before us to ensure we keep striving for gender equity for all, not just the privileged few. Dame Patsty Reddy encourages people to, “confront stereotypes, calling people out on casual sexism, and speaking truth to power. It takes courage to do this, but it has to be done.”
