The Summit Steering Committees are reviewing the status of the Women in Public Sector Summit events around the country in light of Covid-19 developments.

A decision has been made to cancel the Summit in Wellington this year. Please read this statement from the Summit Steering Committee:

Tēnā koutou katoa

It is with regret, but with the best intentions, we’ve had to make the tough call to postpone the Women in Public Sector Summit in Wellington which was scheduled to take place on 30 June 2020.

This event will now move to March 2021, a confirmed date will be made public soon. Those who expressed an interest in group bookings we’ll reaching out to you once the event date is confirmed.

At this stage, we will be continuing on with the Auckland Summit which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 22 October 2020 at the Vodafone Events Centre, as well as the Christchurch Summit which will be held on Tuesday, 1 September 2020 (venue to be confirmed). More details on both Summits will be made available shortly.

We continue to closely monitor our Government's advice on mass gatherings, as well as take advice from our experts in the event industry during this time. Should the situation with COVID-19 continue to rise, then we as a committee will make the call to postpone the Auckland and Christchurch Summits at the end of May.

We also want to assure you that we remain steadfast in providing a platform for women across the public service to continue to learn, grow and connect moving forward. It is our hope that we can host you at one of the Summits this year or see you again in 2021.

You remain in our thoughts during this tough time, kia kaha, kia māia, kia manawanui.
