Join us as we visit Papatuānuku Kōkiri Marae; experience a powhiri, see the mahi of this urban marae and kōrero with fellow AGWN wāhine.

The Papatuānuku Kōkiri Marae is known for its commitment to self-sufficient Māori communities and mahinga kai/food production using hua parakore, an indigenous system and framework for growing kai.

This will be a fantastic chance to practise your te reo in a supportive environment. Before you come, brush up with Hēmi Kelly's AGWN workshop presentation. You'll also have time to catch up and kōrero with the group over a light afternoon tea.

This event will take place in the week following Waitangi Day and so it’s the perfect time to learn about and connect with kaupapa Māori.
