Everyone needs to know about Menopause and the effects it has on our women, trans and gender fluid communities in the workplace.

World Menopause Day is held each year on 18 October to raise awareness, break the stigma and share support available for improving health and wellbeing for those experiencing menopause. This seminar will explain how menopause can be managed sensitively and easily in the workplace and is suitable for managers and employees. As an introductory session it will also include a presentation on exercise and diet during menopause.

This event will be facilitated by Alica Barwell Emergency Communications Dispatcher, Menopause Support Co-Lead New Zealand Police and SGWN committee member.

Sarka Horvathova

Sarka became a fully qualified and registered Naturopath and Medical Herbalist in 2016. She holds Diploma in Naturopathy (NCNZ), Certificate in Herbal Studies (CCNM), Certificate in Massage (NCNZ) and Certificate in Biochemistry from her country of origin CZ. I am a professional member of NMHNZ.
Sarka's approach is fully holistic which means looking not just at symptoms but what is actually behind those and how everything else is connected. Lifestyle, diet, stress levels and much more.
Naturopathic approach is great for acute and chronic issues and also as a preventative tool. We have an amazing ability to heal with the right attitude, approach and support and there is always something we can do even if it's just changing your dietary habits and giving you the right nutrients.
