The Women Deliver Conference brought over 8,000 world leaders, influencers, government officials, civil society and private sector leaders, young people, advocates, academics, activists, and journalists to Vancouver, Canada between 3-6 June 2019.

Kirsty Anderson from the Ministry for Women was one of the New Zealanders in attendance.

With a theme of Power. Progress. Change. the conference focused on:

Individuals' Power – examining girls’ and women’s individual power, self-esteem and agency. And how to strengthen it.

Structural Power  – will exploring and challenging systems, barriers, and opportunities for progress in power relations, including political, economic, and social structures.

The Power of Movements – diving into the power of movements, and how we can shape critical consciousness and marshal collective action for change.
