Launch of the public service "Flexible Work by Default" pilot
On Monday 10 December, Hon Julie Anne Genter, Minister for Women, launched the public service flexible-work-by-default pilot initiative.
Along with Minister Genter, speakers at the launch included Margaret Retter, Acting CE Ministry for Women; Bryan Wilson, Deputy Director General, Ministry for Primary Industries; Prof Jarrod Haar, Human Resource Management, AUT; Gina Dellabarca, General Manager Human Resources, Westpac and Sue O’Shea, Senior Advisor, New Zealand Public Service Association.
Seven Ministries or Departments are taking part in the year-long pilot, with the aim for ‘Flexible Work by Default’ to be introduced across all Ministries and Departments over time.
