SGWN Profile: Amanda Henman
Amanda Henman, Committee Member
Born and raised in England Amanda began her training as a Fingerprint Specialist at New Scotland Yard, London. She moved to New Zealand in 2008 and now lives in Christchurch and is the manager of the South Island Fingerprint Office.
Amanda is currently on secondment as the Senior Advisor Women’s Development and Diversity for Canterbury Police. Her focus is the long-term development and sustainability of women and diverse employees, supporting them into leadership roles. She identifies barriers to development and promotion and helps the Canterbury District Police have a fair and inclusive culture.
Amanda also actively supports and promotes the Police Menopause Support Group and away from work her two beautiful daughters and two gentle giant dogs keep her busy.
