SGWN Profile: Catherine Pearson
Catherine Pearson, Committee Member
After 30 years in people focussed roles across the private sector (tourism, wines, high-end jewellery, property sales and large-scale property development), Catherine decided it was time utilise that skillset, to give back to those who needed a helping hand. So five years ago, she joined the Public Sector in the housing space and now assists in finding homes for the homeless working with Te Manatu Whakahiato Ora, Ministry of Social Development based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin. She loves people and thrive on helping others to navigate the barriers that hold them back, guiding them to live their values in both their professional and personal lives.
Outside of her mahi you will find her spending time with whānau and enjoying the great outdoors.
Ki te kotahi te kākaho ka whati, ki te kāpuia e kore e whati.
When we stand alone we are vulnerable, but together we are unbreakable.
