Passion and understanding
SGWN Committee member, Nicole McCorkindale, developed her passion and understanding of customers when working on the frontline.
One of SGWN’s younger committee members, Nicole brings her youthful insight to our planning. She has worked for Inland Revenue for the last 6 years – substantively as an Advisor in the workflow space, but is currently on long-term secondment as an Analyst to the Families area of IR.
Nicole leads a remote team across the country who are responsible for cleansing and remediating Child Support records in the lead up to Child Support’s migration into IR’s new operating system. “I absolutely love working in Social Policy. It is my passion. Child Support has such an impact on people’s lives, ensuring children are financially supported by both parents."
Before becoming an Advisor and Analyst, Nicole worked on the front line for Child Support. “It was during my time on the frontline that I developed my passion and understanding of our customers and their needs. It is that experience and understanding that has helped me to excel in my current role.”
